Giro Helmets & Recycling

I still haven’t heard anything from Giro USA about what to do with old cycling helmets. I’m a little disappointed that they couldn’t even email me to say they don’t have anything set up to process used helmets. A friend of mine suggested I find an artist, who might be able to use the helmets for some sort of installation art piece, which I thought was a pretty good idea. Then maybe I could send the piece onto Giro as a suggestion.

  1. I have a couple of friends who work for Giro (i.e. Easton-Bell Sports). I’ll ask them about recycling helmets the next time I see one of them.

  2. That would be great! Thank you. I still have them and had thought about just boxing them up and sending them to Giro. But it would be great to find out if they can recycle the plastic or something.
