Eco-Event in Second Life sponsored by Sun Microsystems

Sun Microsystems is sponsoring an event in Second Life about the different aspects of sustainability and how changes you make in your life can have an impact on the environment. You can register for the Summit at: http://www.sunecosummit.com/register/

Here’s a description about the event:

Join Dave Douglas, Sun’s VP of Eco Responsibility, in welcoming
industry experts, like Andrew Winston, author of From Green to Gold and
Adam Werbach, former Sierra Club President and Founder of Act Now
Productions, for this unique half-day seminar.

Yes, some people end up in the foetal position at the thought of Second Life but with this type of topic it’s worth unfolding the arms and legs and getting involved.

  1. I’ll be there in meatworld, anyway 🙂 But that’s a little easier for me since I’m in the Bay Area. Perhaps it’s worth talking about how immersive technologies enable sustainability by reducing the need for travel to conferences like this?

  2. So, did you get to the conference? What did you think of it?
