Met up at the Boulder Outlook Hotel for this month’s Green Drinks. But I guess most people were busy celebrating graduation or just enjoying the perfect weather, because the attendance was pretty meager compared to past events. Well, actually I have only been to one but there were certainly more people at that first one.
But it was still nice to see some familiar faces and meet a couple of new people. I met a Douglas Lessing from Verdant Power, who is helping to design and deploy turbines into rivers and lakes that generate power from underwater currents. Currently, they have a pilot program going on in the East River of New York!
Wind turbines in the gulf and now turbines that convert underwater currents into power.
